HIGH COUNTRY TRAILS is located just six miles southwest of Kalispell, Montana in the heart of the Flathead Valley. We offer guided trail rides Monday thru Saturday from an hour and a half to a half-day on the private 800 acre family ranch. The ranch affords opportunities for photography of a variety of wildlife, wildflowers, and panoramic views of the Flathead Valley and majestic Rocky Mountains. We are open from May 1st through September .
Quality horses are used for our guests and are available for all riding abilities. Riders 10 years old and older are welcome: a minumum of two riders is required. Rates listed are in U.S. funds per person.
1 1/2 - hour trail ride...............45.00
2 - hour trail ride......................60.00
2 1/2 hour ride with saddlebag lunch.........85.00
1/2 day ride with lunch.............125.00
1/2 day ride with steak dinner.....$150.00
The steak dinner rides require a minumum of six riders; however, you may add on to a previously schedualed ride. Please call 24 hours in advance.
Enjoy a two - and a- half hour horseback tour of the ranch with lunch for $75.00 or take a cool evening ride with an old - fasioned steak cookout for $85.00.
Learn to ride with private lessons by a professional instructor at $40.00 per hour: Group lessons are available for two or more at $30 per hour per student. Arrangements can be made for you to ride with other students if requested.
